Amman, Jan. 5 (Petra) -- The latest upgrade to the "Sanad" application represents a major step forward in advancing Jordan’s digital government services and simplifying public procedures, according to Representative of the ICT sector at Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC), Haitham Rawajbeh.
Speaking to the Jordan News Agency (Petra), Rawajbeh noted that the update reflects the Kingdom’s firm commitment to fast-tracking digital transformation, in line with the vision and directives of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II and the ongoing oversight of the National Council for Future Technology.
He stressed that the goal is to position Sanad as a comprehensive, intuitive platform that simplifies access to government services. He explained that the new version delivers noticeable improvements in performance, including faster login, smoother navigation, and a redesigned interface that enhances usability and makes government services more accessible and easier to understand.
According to Rawajbeh, the updated app introduces expanded features that elevate the overall user experience and enable citizens to complete government transactions more efficiently, meeting growing expectations for advanced, reliable, and citizen-centric digital services.
He added that the upgrade strengthens the concept of a unified government service platform, allowing users to manage a wide range of transactions, including electronic payments, through a single digital gateway. This reduces processing times, minimizes the need for in-person visits, and reinforces public confidence in digital government solutions.
Rawajbeh pointed out that investors and business owners increasingly favor countries with advanced digital infrastructure and fully automated public services. In this context, he highlighted the significant expansion of services available through the Sanad app in recent months as a clear indicator of Jordan’s rising level of digital government maturity.
He further emphasized that the Economic Modernization Vision prioritizes accelerating digital transformation across the public sector through effective partnerships with the private sector, which brings substantial expertise and innovation capacity. He noted that Jordanian companies have successfully delivered digital transformation projects across several Arab markets, underscoring the sector’s regional competitiveness.
Rawajbeh concluded that Jordan aims to strengthen its position as a regional hub for digital innovation and scalable technology solutions, leveraging national talent, advanced infrastructure, a supportive regulatory environment, and its strategic geographic location.
He stressed that continued development of the Sanad app, supported by strong public-private collaboration, is essential to building a fully integrated digital government and generating sustainable economic and social value.
