Amman, Sept. 21 (Petra) -- Jordanian riders won one silver and two bronze medals in the equestrian competition at the 10th Special Olympics Middle East and North Africa Regional Games in Cairo.

Yasmina Shaqam led the Jordanian medal haul with silver in the English riding event, while Nourshan Alaa Eddin and Bader Tareeh each secured bronze in the same competition.

The three podium finishes gave Jordan a strong showing in the equestrian events at the regional Games, which have brought together Special Olympics athletes from across the Middle East and North Africa.

Jordan Special Olympics Director Ali Shawahin praised the performances of the Jordanian riders and commended the organization of the Games and the reception extended to participating delegations.

Shawahin wished Jordan's athletes and the other participating delegations success in the remainder of the competition.
