Amman, Sep. 23 (Petra) –Minister of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs and Holy Sites, Dr. Mohammed Khalaileh, on Wednesday patronized a free medical day in the Northern Badia region.

Organized by Maqasid Charity Hospital (MCH), affiliated with the Ministry’s Zakat Fund, the step is part of the Awqaf Ministry's preaching and guidance forums.

Since the beginning of the year, the number of beneficiaries who benefited from the hospital's free medical days has reached 5,494 patients through 17 such events launched nationwide.

During today's initiative, a multidisciplinary medical team participated in the activities by conducting medical and laboratory checks for patients and dispensing free medications and treatments.

Additionally, ultrasound equipment was used to examine pregnant women, who received necessary medical care and treatment.

Supported by the Zakat Fund, organization of this medical day is part of the hospital's plan to provide free medical services to local communities and enhance healthcare access for the most needy populations.

Since 2018, the hospital has conducted 136 free medical days across the Kingdom's governorates, which benefited approximately 80,000 patients, as part of its ongoing efforts to provide free healthcare and serve local communities.
