- Royal Court Chief: Royal initiatives stem from citizens' needs, local community priorities Zarqa, Sept. 23 (Petra) – Royal Court Chief Yousef Issawi, head of the committee overseeing the implementation of His Majesty the King’s initiatives, on Wednesday toured a number of Royal initiative projects in Zarqa Governorate.
The tour of both accomplished projects as well as those currently underway is to ensure they meet specifications and standards, thereby achieving objectives and maximizing developmental and social impact.
Accompanied by Minister of Youth Raed Al-Adwan, Issawi started his tour by inspecting the nucleus of a sports city in Rusaifa District, whose construction was ordered upon a Royal directive issued during a visit by His Majesty to the region in May.
It involves building a regulation-sized football field as the core of a sports complex catering to the local community in general and youth in particular.
Issawi stressed the importance of developing and upgrading sports and youth facilities to expand the beneficiary base and provide young people with a suitable environment for engaging in sports, cultural, and community activities, as well as harnessing their energy and developing their capabilities.
In Rusaifa District, Issawi called at the construction site for the Military Education School (Khadija bint Khuwaylid Secondary School for Girls), where construction work has reached 100 percent completion.
The school consists of two three-story buildings with 31 classrooms accommodating 900 students (grades 7 through 12), two computer labs, two science labs, and administrative offices. Furnishing and equipping the school will start soon.
Issawi also inspected a new 12-classroom co-educational elimentary school in the Al-Dhuleil Subdistrict, which is about 99 complete.
He also visited the "Ajeen Time" food truck, one of the units incorporated into the second phase of the Food Cart Initiative to learn about its operations and product offerings.
Accompanied by the Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Mohammad Al-Khalaileh, Issawi also toured Al-Arab Mosque and an adjacent public park, reviewing facilities and activities organized by the mosque.
Issawi also visited the Circassian Sports Club project in Al-Hashimiyah District, where he was briefed on the building and its facilities.
In press remarks, Issawi said his tour answers to Royal directives to make field visits and follow up on project progress, identify any obstacles or challenges and promptly find solutions in coordination with relevant authorities, ensuring efficient and timely execution.
The Royal Initiatives are rooted in the needs and priorities of local communities, translating into practical projects and programs across the educational, youth, productive, social, and service sectors, said the Royal Court Head.
