Amman, Sept. 27 (Petra) -- General Director of the Princess Taghrid Institute for Development and Training, Aghadeer Jweihan, signed a cooperation agreement in Cairo with Ezzat Abdel Hamid, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Egyptian Organization of Sanad for Alternative Parental Care, aimed at developing aftercare services and improving the lives of young men and women without family support.

According to a statement issued by the institute on Sunday, Jweihan and Abdel Hamid discussed areas of cooperation in aftercare for young people without family support, with the aim of enhancing their opportunities for stability, integration, and a dignified life.

The agreement provides for the exchange of expertise and experience between the two sides and the development of joint programs and initiatives to serve the best interests of this group in both Jordanian and Egyptian societies.

The two sides also agreed on an implementation plan for 2027 that includes joint activities and events, most notably an international conference on aftercare, a youth camp bringing together young men and women affiliated with the two organizations, and specialized workshops on legal and legislative issues. The workshops will seek to benefit from shared expertise, help address gaps and enhance sustainable development opportunities for this group.

The agreement forms part of the institute’s strategic plan, which focuses on strengthening participation, building partnerships and joint action, and expanding cooperation at the local, regional, and international levels in ways that serve target groups and support their right to a dignified and stable life.
