Amman, Sept. 3 (Petra) -- The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) released statistical data on Thursday showcasing growth across the Kingdom's postal and logistics sector from 2021 through 2025.

Domestic mail volumes surged to approximately 46.5 million items in 2025, up from 38 million in 2024. International shipments also saw strong gains, rising from 2.75 million in 2024 to nearly 4 million in 2025.

Private operators handled 84 percent of total traffic, with the public operator accounting for the remaining 16 percent.

The sector's expansion generated substantial employment, with workforce numbers growing from 39,500 in 2024 to 49,000 in 2025. Total delivery vehicles operating across the Kingdom also jumped from 37,000 to nearly 46,000 over the same period.

Market participation expanded alongside volume. Local private operators increased from 163 in 2024 to 181 in 2025, while international operators grew from 12 to 14.

Geographically, Amman led post office distribution in 2025 with 275 locations, followed by Irbid with 107, Zarqa with 46, Madaba with 29, Balqa with 26, Karak with 26, Aqaba with 23, Mafraq with 22, Jerash with 20, Ma’an with 15, Ajloun with 11, and Tafilah with 8.

The TRC stated that the data reflects the sector's "vital economic role in supporting commerce and transport," voicing its commitment to fostering a competitive investment environment aligned with international best practices.
