Amman, Sept. 27 (Petra) -- The Unified Admission Coordination Unit at the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development announced on Sunday that electronic applications for admission to Jordanian public universities for children of Jordanian women married to non-Jordanians would open on Sunday and remain available until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 30.

The unit said applications can be submitted through its website, under the bachelor’s degree section, via: https://admhec.gov.jo/SonJoMother2026/.

The unit explained that students who meet the requirements for passing and admission to public universities based on the Jordanian General Secondary Education Certificate for the first time, either in the 2026 summer (general) session or the 2025 supplementary session only, must access the website, submit their application, and save their choices. They must then pay the JD15 application fee through the Central Bank of Jordan’s eFAWATEERcom bill payment service, using the electronic payment number displayed after saving the application.

The unit said eligibility for seats allocated to children of Jordanian women requires applicants to hold an identification card for children of Jordanian women issued by the Civil Status and Passports Department. Applicants must also have met the requirements for passing and admission to public universities based on the Jordanian General Secondary Education Certificate for the first time in the 2026 summer (general) session or the 2025 supplementary session only.

After accessing the application system, applicants must enter the serial number on the identification card for children of Jordanian women, the seat number and examination session shown on the General Secondary Education Certificate, the national number, and the place and registration number of their Jordanian mother.

The unit noted that applicants nominated for admission under the royal makruma (grant) allocation for camp residents, including children of Gaza Strip residents, or those nominated to benefit from any other special allocation are excluded from admission under the program for children of Jordanian women.

The unit stressed that admission of children of Jordanian women will be based on the minimum competitive admission averages for Jordanian students holding the Jordanian General Secondary Education Certificate for the current 2026/2027 academic year, which the unit had previously published on its website.
