Amman, Oct. 28 (Petra) - Jordan Investment Group (JIG) and subsidiaries of the Jordan Design and Development Bureau (JODDB) signed several agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with defense and tech firms on the second day of the Special Operations Forces Exhibition and Conference (SOFEX 2026).
As part of the agreements: - JIG partnered with MSI to establish a Center of Excellence and Support, focusing on knowledge transfer, technical cooperation, and operational support.
- JIG established agreements with FUSE to collaborate on electric vehicle propulsion systems, and with LPP to explore drone manufacturing, jet engines, and converting the "Al-Barq" (Lightning) vehicle into an unmanned ground vehicle (UGV).
- Aselsan Middle East signed a contract with Jordan Light Vehicle Manufacturing (JLVM), a JODDB company, to supply SARP Remote Controlled Weapon Stations (RCWS) and driver vision systems for light tactical vehicles.
- JODDB executed a non-disclosure agreement with Jordan Aeronautical-Systems Company (JAC) to lay the groundwork for joint aerospace initiatives.
These strategic deals exhibit continuous efforts by JIG and JODDB to drive technology transfer, build defense industrial capacity, and expand commercial partnerships with international specialized firms.
