FM, Saudi counterpart talk de-escalation in region

Amman, Sept 12 (Petra) – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Safadi on Saturday called his Saudi counterpart Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud to discuss the situation in the region.
During the phone call, part of ongoing coordination and consultation between the two kingdoms, the ministers discussed ways to address the current situation and bring about lasting security and stability in the region.
Safadi reiterated Jordan’s condemnation of drone attacks on the East-West pipeline in the Riyadh and Medina regions, and reiterated Jordan’s solidarity with Saudi Arabia in all measures it takes to protect its security, stability, and national interests.
The ministers reaffirmed their support for efforts to de-escalate the situation and reach a solution that addresses the root causes of tension.
Safadi and Prince Faisal pledged to continue joint efforts to further bolster the deep-rooted, strategic, and brotherly relations between the two countries, and cooperation on regional issues and challenges.
