Amman, Sept. 10 (Petra) -- The latest issue of the Official Gazette published Law No. 15 of 2026 repealing the Civil Service Consumer Corporation Law, set to take effect 120 days from its publication date.

Under the new legislation, the Civil Consumer Service Corporation will be dissolved upon entry into force, with the Military Consumer Establishment assuming its legal status, operations, rights, obligations, assets, and real and personal property.

The law exempts all property transfer and registration transactions executed pursuant to its provisions from standard taxes and fees.

All existing contracts and agreements concluded by the Civil Consumer Service Corporation before the law's effective date will remain valid, with the Military Consumer Establishment stepping in as the legal successor.

Pending legal proceedings and lawsuits involving the Civil Service Consumer Corporation will continue in competent courts, with the Military Consumer Establishment substituting as the party in interest.

The legislation provides for the formation of a committee to handle matters concerning the Civil Service Consumer Corporation's employees upon implementation, with its duties and operating procedures to be established by Cabinet directives.

The enactment repeals Civil Service Consumer Corporation Law No. 53 of 1986 along with its associated regulations and instructions, tasking the prime minister and cabinet ministers with execution.
