Amman, Oct 3 (Petra) – The Prime Ministry published a report on Saturday, detailing the periodic follow-up on field inspection visits by Prime Minister Jafar Hassan over the past two years.
The on-site inspection visits culminated in interventions and corrective measures across various sectors, including health, education, social services, production, tourism, and youth affairs.
The report revealed that the Prime Minister inspected 183 sites during his field tours over the two-year period; measures were fully completed at 125 of these sites, while work is ongoing at 58 others.
The tours covered all the Kingdom's governorates, as well as 46 municipalities, 37 districts, and 5 sub-districts.
The interventions implemented at the sites were based on direct field engagement with citizens by the Prime Minister to assess their needs, as well as input from Members of Parliament, governors, administrative officials, and municipal councils.
In the health sector, interventions covered 15 hospitals and 26 health centers, serving over 6.5 million citizens across the Kingdom’s governorates, while the education sector saw the construction and rehabilitation of 31 schools, benefiting more than 23,000 students.
On the productive sector, the report highlighted support and facilitations provided to 33 factories and facilities in the agricultural and industrial sectors, benefiting over 27,000 workers nationwide.
Additionally, eight vocational and technical training centers and institutes were developed, benefiting approximately 4,000 young men and women.
The visits also included 19 tourism sites that attract over 162,000 visitors annually. Key locations included the Dead Sea tourist beach and corniche, the Jerash Eco-Tourism Village project, the Azraq Reserve, tourism and heritage site development projects in the Kingdom’s eastern region, and the Afra Hot Springs in Tafilah, among others.
The report noted that significant interventions included the establishment of two parks, Al-Nashama and Al-Mafraq, and the rehabilitation of three others, Al-Jundi Park in Zarqa, the Hittin Camp Park in Rusaifa District, and the Baqaa Camp Park in Ain Al-Basha District.
These aim to improve the quality of life and provide recreational spaces for citizens, with the parks serving over 1.91 million people. Work is also underway to establish public parks across the Kingdom's governorates, with the majority scheduled for completion in 2027.
The report revealed that the visits covered 16 youth centers and sports clubs, serving more than 262,000 young men and women, as well as Al-Hussein Youth City, which attracts over two million visitors annually.
Additionally, 35 social care centers, associations, institutions, and facilities were visited to support their programs and expand their services, benefiting approximately 236,000 citizens.
