Amman, Sept 12 (Petra) – A pregnant Palestinian woman died on Saturday, succumbing to wounds sustained earlier from Israeli gunfire in the southern Gaza Strip, according to medical sources.
They said the woman and her fetus were wounded in the city of Khan Younis several days ago, and passed away today from their wounds.
Also today, Israeli occupation forces opened up with artillery and gunfire east of Deir al-Balah and Al-Bureij camp in central Gaza, according to Palestinian sources.
Artillery shelling, along with fire from attack helicopters, also struck northern areas of the Strip, including east of Jabalia, Al-Atatra, and east of Gaza City, they said.
In the south of the enclave, Israeli artillery shelled the western areas of Rafah City and gunboats opened fire off the Khan Younis coast.
