Moscow, Sept. 27 (Petra) -- Russia’s Ministry of Economic Development said on Sunday that the country’s annual inflation rate had risen to around 6.3%, while weekly inflation accelerated slightly to 0.06%, driven by higher transport costs and prices of logistics-related services.

In a statement, the ministry said the acceleration in weekly inflation reflected continued pressure on transport costs and supply chains, leading to higher prices for some goods and services, while annual inflation remained above the target set by Russia’s monetary policy.
