Slight Drop in Temperatures Forecast for Friday, Rain Showers Expected in Northern Jordan

Amman, Sept. 18 (Petra)-- Temperatures are expected to drop slightly on Friday, with moderate weather prevailing in most areas and hot conditions in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.
Clouds at various altitudes are expected to appear, particularly over the northern and central parts of the Kingdom. Morning rain showers are forecast in the north, occasionally extending to limited parts of the western central areas.
Winds will be westerly, moderate to brisk, occasionally reaching strong speeds and stirring dust.
According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), moderate weather will persist across most areas on Saturday, while conditions will be relatively hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Some low-level clouds are expected, with northwesterly winds moderate in speed, occasionally picking up.
On Sunday, temperatures are expected to rise slightly, while moderate weather will continue in most areas and hot conditions will prevail in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds will be northwesterly and moderate in speed.
A further slight rise in temperatures is forecast for Monday, with moderate weather prevailing in most areas and hot conditions in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds will be moderate, shifting between northeasterly and northwesterly.
Temperatures today in East Amman are expected to range between 30 C and 19 C, compared with 28 C and 17 C in West Amman, 26 C and 16 C in the northern highlands, 27 C and 12 C in the Sharah Mountains, 33 C and 18 C in the Badia, 31 C and 17 C in the plains, 36 C and 21 C in the northern Jordan Valley, 39 C and 24 C in the southern Jordan Valley, 38 C and 23 C at the Dead Sea, and 38 C and 23 C in Aqaba.
