Amman, Sept. 28 (Petra) - The Social Security Corporation (SSC) on Monday urged tourism businesses to apply for financial relief before the Sept. 30 deadline.

The corporation noted that 620 out of 1,238 eligible indebted tourism enterprises signed installment agreements to date, leaving 618 businesses that have yet to act.

Under the board-approved relief plan, qualifying businesses can settle outstanding balances at a reduced interest rate of 1 percent annually. The initiative also allows companies to defer initial installment payments until April 2027, easing financial burdens and giving businesses more time to fulfill obligations.

The SSC stressed that Wednesday is the final opportunity to sign agreements under these special terms, calling on remaining businesses to submit applications before the offer expires.
