Amman, Sept. 22 (Petra) -- Zain Jordan subscribers can now access the Sanad app and website without an active internet package or mobile credit, giving them free data access to more than 550 government and digital services, the company said Tuesday.

The service is available to customers on individual mobile lines and allows them to use Sanad, Jordan's official gateway for digital government services and digital identity, without consuming their mobile data.

Zain said it is the first telecommunications provider in the Kingdom to offer free browsing of the platform, removing the need for subscribers to purchase a data package or find an internet connection when accessing government services.

Through Sanad, users can access their digital identity, official documents and personal records, complete electronic government transactions, pay fees, track applications and use digital signature services.

The platform currently provides more than 550 services from over 50 government and private-sector entities, making it a central access point for a growing range of digital transactions in the Kingdom.

Zain said the initiative is designed to broaden access to digital government services and support Jordan's digital transformation by reducing connectivity barriers for users.

The company said expanding digital access goes beyond providing internet connectivity and requires making essential online services easier to reach and use.

Allowing customers to access Sanad without data or mobile credit will provide greater flexibility in completing electronic transactions and retrieving official documents, particularly when users do not have an active internet package, Zain added.

The initiative forms part of the company's efforts to use its network and digital capabilities to support national initiatives and make technology-based services more widely accessible.
