Amman, Jan. 12 (Petra) -- A group of Jordanian food manufacturing companies has begun its participation in the first promotional activity of the Jordan Exporters Association (JEA) for this year by exhibiting at the Winter FancyFaire, currently underway in San Diego, United States.

The Association’s Chairman, Ahmed Al-Khudari, said the three-day event forms part of JEA’s annual marketing program aimed at supporting Jordanian exporters and strengthening their presence in high-potential international markets, particularly the United States, which remains one of Jordan’s key export destinations.

Al-Khudari explained that the U.S. market holds strategic importance due to the Free Trade Agreement between Jordan and the United States, which offers preferential access for Jordanian products, in addition to the market’s size, diversity, and strong demand for a wide range of food items.

He noted that Jordanian food products enjoy growing acceptance in the U.S., not only among Arab communities but also across broader consumer segments, reflecting their quality, competitive standards, and appeal to diverse tastes.

Al-Khudari added that the Association consistently prioritizes participation in major international exhibitions, including an annual show in New York, and will continue its promotional efforts throughout the year by engaging in strategically selected global events. He described the San Diego exhibition as JEA’s first participation in the city, expressing optimism given the strong interest from U.S. importers, especially those seeking Middle Eastern food offerings.

The exhibition, he said, provides an important opportunity to establish new business connections, enhance direct interaction between Jordanian companies and importers, and expand export channels to the U.S. market. He also noted that the participation aligns with Jordan’s Economic Modernization Vision, which places a strong emphasis on boosting exports, enhancing the competitiveness of national industries, and supporting high-value sectors such as food manufacturing to achieve sustainable growth and job creation.

JEA Director Halim Abu Rahma said the exhibition serves as a hands-on platform for Jordanian companies to market their products, highlight their production capabilities, and gain insight into evolving U.S. market trends and consumer preferences.

Abu Rahma added that the Association worked closely with participating companies to prepare for the event by selecting products that meet U.S. standards for quality, specifications, and packaging. He stressed that JEA’s focus goes beyond short-term outcomes, aiming instead to build lasting trade partnerships and support small and medium-sized enterprises in accessing global markets.

He reaffirmed the Association’s commitment to continuing its promotional initiatives in cooperation with public and private sector partners to strengthen the international presence of Jordanian products and enhance export competitiveness.
