Amman, Sep. 22 (Petra) -- Mild autumn weather will settle across the highlands and plains through Friday, with temperatures hovering near seasonal averages and little change expected over the next several days, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department.

Tuesday will bring moderate conditions to the mountainous areas and plains, while the Badia remains relatively hot. Higher temperatures will persist in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, where daytime readings will remain in the mid-to-upper 30s.

Some low clouds are expected, accompanied by moderate northwesterly winds.

Temperatures will edge lower on Wednesday, although the slight decline will leave the broader weather pattern largely unchanged. Moderate conditions will continue across the highlands and plains, while the Badia remains relatively hot and the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba stay hot.

The stable pattern will carry through Thursday and Friday, with mild conditions continuing across the highlands and plains and low clouds appearing at times. Moderate northwesterly winds are forecast throughout the period.

Tuesday's temperatures are expected to reach 31 degrees Celsius in East Amman and 29 C in West Amman, with highs of 27 C in both the northern and Sharah highlands and 30 C across the plains.

Temperatures will reach 35 C in the Badia, 36 C in the northern Jordan Valley and at the Dead Sea, and 37 C in the southern Jordan Valley and Aqaba.
