MP Haitham Al Ziadin, chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, said the royal speech reaffirmed that the Palestinian issue remains central to Jordan's foreign policy until a just peace is achieved, guaranteeing Palestinian rights to an independent state.

Al Ziadin noted that the king delivered a clear rejection of forced displacement, annexation, land confiscation, and settlement expansion in both Gaza and the West Bank. He stressed that ignoring ongoing violations in the Palestinian territories cannot serve as a substitute for a comprehensive political resolution.

Al Ziadin added that members of parliament support the monarch’s stance on protecting Jordan’s national interests, border security, and vital water resources. He reaffirmed that Jordan will remain a model of national unity and coexistence, pointing to King Abdullah’s commitment to preserving the historic Christian presence in Jordan, Palestine, and Jerusalem as a humanitarian and civilizational responsibility.

In a separate statement, Representative Zuhair Al-Khashman, head of the Union and Reform Parliamentary Bloc, said the royal address presented a decisive posture against regional destabilization, warning that international inaction enables occupation policies to dictate outcomes on the ground.

Al-Khashman highlighted the king's observation regarding declining global attention spans, framing it as an entry point to critique wider failings in international politics. While global attention shifts across crises, he noted, time is leveraged to alter ground realities and undermine the viability of a two-state solution.

Al-Khashman emphasized the monarch’s strategic framing of Gaza and the West Bank as a unified issue, pointing out that destroying infrastructure in Gaza while expanding settlements and displacement in the West Bank directly dismantles the foundation of a Palestinian state.

Addressing regional stability, Al-Khashman highlighted the king's warning regarding Israeli expansionism in southern Syria as a consequence of cumulative impunity. He stated that Jordan’s northern borders and water security remain core elements of its national security strategy, backed by a unified domestic front, robust state institutions, and full support for the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF) and security agencies.
