Amman, Sept. 30 (Petra) -- The U-17 women’s national football team has begun its technical and physical preparations in Tajikistan ahead of the AFC U-17 Women’s Asian Cup qualifiers, which kick off next Monday.
The team held a training session Tuesday evening at the facilities of the Football Federation of Tajikistan, featuring a combination of physical and technical drills under head coach Luna Al-Masri, with all squad members taking part.
Jordan will open its qualifying campaign against Tajikistan next Monday, before facing the United Arab Emirates on Thursday, Oct. 8, and concluding its Group A fixtures against South Korea on Sunday, Oct. 11.
Under the competition format, the participating teams have been divided into eight groups, with the winner of each group advancing to the finals.
They will be joined by the four teams that qualified directly after finishing among the top four at the 2026 edition: defending champions DPR Korea, runners-up Japan, and semifinalists Australia and China.
