Beirut, Sept 21 (Petra) -- Israeli warplanes carried out a series of airstrikes on Nabatieh Al-Fawqa and Zawtar Al-Sharqiyah in the Nabatieh district of southern Lebanon on Monday, while white phosphorus artillery shells struck the outskirts of Majdal Selm and Wadi Al-Salouqi, according to local security sources.

No casualties have been reported.

A Lebanese security source said the air raids also hit the town of Kfar Tibnit and the Ali Al-Taher forest on the edges of Nabatieh Al-Fawqa.

The source added that movement of Israeli military vehicles was detected across the towns of Haddatha, Beit Yahoun, Rchaf, and Meiss El-Jabal.

Israeli aircraft additionally bombed the valley near Zibqine, coinciding with heavy artillery shelling on the towns of Al-Mansouri, Majdal Zoun, and surrounding valleys.
